Corns are localized hard and thickened areas of your skin. They are generally caused by excessive pressure and constant friction on the parts of your skin that are affected.
There are several home remedies for getting rid of corns naturally without any surgery. Some of the effective methods you can use to get rid of corns at home include:
Take a medium sized onion, cut it in halves and soak it in vinegar. Leave the onion in vinegar for 24 hours in a warm place. Apply the onion to your corns twice a day. Wrap the affected area with gauze to hold the onion in its place.
The potassium permanganate bath is effective in removing corns. Add a little potassium permanganate and a teaspoon of salt in a bowl of water and hold your feet or hands in this solution for 15-20 minutes.
At the end of the procedure do not wipe your feet or hands with the towel, let them dry naturally.
Soak a cotton ball in vinegar and apply it to your corn. Leave it on overnight. In the morning, rub the area with a pumice stone.
Baking soda removes the dead skin and treats the corn. Add three tablespoons of baking soda in a bowl of water and soften your feet in this solution.
You can also rub your corns with a mixture of three parts baking soda to one part water.
