Sometimes it happens that after waxing or shaving the hairs tend to soften so much that they no longer have the power to penetrate the outer layer of the skin and that’s how you get ingrown hairs.
These hairs that grow under the skin should be removed not only for the sake of beauty but also for healthy reasons.
Follow these tips to get rid of ingrown hairs without pain and without leaving any signs on your skin.
Step 1. Start with a warm bath that will soften your skin – this will allow you to gently remove your ingrown hairs. Hot water has the power to open the pores. If you’re hurrying and have no time for bathing, apply a towel soaked in hot water on the problem areas and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. The same thing you can do before waxing or shaving.
Step 2. Exfoliation plays a very important role in removing ingrown hairs – so use a loofa to remove the dead layer from the skin surface. Massage gently with the loofa the areas with ingrown hairs without pressing too much.
Step 3. Use good quality tweezers to remove the ingrown hairs. Disinfect the tweezers using rubbing alcohol. Gently but also with precision, remove the ingrown hair. Repeat the operation with all the troublesome hairs.
Step 4. To speed up skin healing, apply an antiseptic product to the affected areas. Don’t use the shaving blade in the next few days.
